Where I Train: A Guide to Sydney's Best Outdoor Spots

Sydney's outdoor spaces are one of the best things about training here. Why be stuck inside a gym when you can train with harbour views?

Bondi Beach

The south end of Bondi has flat grassy areas perfect for circuit training. Early morning sessions here are unbeatable — cool breeze, sunrise, and plenty of space before the crowds arrive.

Hyde Park

Right in the CBD, Hyde Park is ideal for lunchtime sessions. Shaded areas, benches for step-ups, and it's accessible from every office in the city.

Barangaroo Reserve

A newer spot that's become a favourite. Waterfront paths for running, flat areas for training, and stunning harbour views. Great for before-work sessions.

Sydney Park (Newtown)

The Inner West's hidden gem. Hills for sprints, open fields for circuits, and a running track. Less crowded than the Eastern Suburbs spots.

Why Outdoor Training Works

Studies show that exercising outdoors improves mood, reduces stress hormones, and increases workout enjoyment compared to indoor training. Plus, vitamin D.
